Treadmills
Ok, so you don't want to go to a gym. You've scratched sports off your list. Can't do much outdoors because of the weather?
How about fitness equipment? Too expensive you say? Not any more. In the past
fitness equipment for the home was out of reach for most budgets, but now, due to competition,
there is fitness equipment available to suit every pocket, space size and area of specialization needed.
Home gyms, exercise machines, treadmills,
exercise cycles,
elliptical trainers all can be purchased
at reasonable prices these days so you can have a gym in the privacy of your own home.
Not sure where to start? Well, first think about what your fitness goal is. If you are looking for a
simple beginning like walking, start with a treadmill. Treadmills are great for people who live in
areas prone to bad weather, bad neighborhoods, or poor running surfaces. Watching TV while on a treadmill, or
listening to music, can really make the time pass. Treadmills also provide reduced impact than
hard surfaces for those who have lower back problems. If you are really serious about burning off calories, some
treadmills even provide tracking information regarding number of calories being burned! If money is not a problem, some
come with a TV also!
So if you are looking to just start with an in-house walking/running routine this can be a good step one for you. Remember,
there are quit a few types available. Be sure to do your homework before making a purchase, and start walking your way to
being fit.
