Swimming
What can be a more refreshing way to burn off those calories than swimming?
Swimming is both a relaxing and refreshing form of exercise. Can’t swim? Do poolside exercises, try shallow-water aerobics, or simply walk in the shallow water! Have fun with it—jump, lung and bob those calories off.
You don’t have to know how to swim!
Are you using that old excuse about not wanting to be seen in a bathing suit

because of how you look? That kind of thinking is negative and certainly won't help with your weight loss goal.
Depriving yourself of something that is both fun and healthy for you just because you are self-conscious doesn't have to happen. If you feel you don't want to wear a bathing suit, or be seen by others, there is always a way of getting around it. First, there are many kinds of suits out there that are especially designed to make you look 10 pounds lighter, and are slimming and figure enhancing. Second, you
don't HAVE to wear a bathing suit. There is no law that dictates what you can wear when you swim (as long as you wear something!). Grab a pair of comfortable shorts and a tee shirt and your ready to go! You have to start somewhere and once you start a swimming regime---watch those pounds fall off!
Will swimming help you lose weight? You better believe it.
According to many weight loss specialists swimming can actually burn more calories than running, depending, of course, on how fast you swim and for how long.
In addition to lap swimming, there are an abundance of exercise videos on line to show you all types of water exercises including abdominal workouts. The water offers a natural resistance and helps with arthritis, joint pain and—
BURNS THOSE CALORIES AND TONES THOSE MUSCLES.
