Making Lifestyle Changes

Decisions regarding changing your lifestyle are important to your success in becoming a happier and healthier new you!

What will it take to make a new you that will help you feel happy, healthy and fit? Will losing weight help? Just need some toning up and turning fat into muscle? Finding diet solutions or diet plans you can live with?
Perhaps you want to just find more natural solutions to specific problems? Maybe you need to spend more personal time on just YOU! Whatever the question, there is always an answer and a solution!

Finding the right answer does require some effort and self-reflection. Once you have the problems laid out in front of you, you can begin with a game plan. Make a check list for what you want to change, and believe it or not, a list of what you hate or love that can hinder your path to accomplishing your goal.

Let's say you want a lifestyle makeover, where do you start?

Here are some basic questions you need to ask yourself:

1. Do you spend enough time on YOU? Are you constantly rushing to take care of everyone else, but you, and have no personal time?

2. Are you unhappy with your weight?
If yes, what diet strategy do you THINK might work for you? Do you hate cooking? Do you love cooking? Do you even have time to cook and think about planning nutritious, low calorie meals? Simply put, how involved do you want to be? Do you want to participate in changing your diet or have a solution provided to you?

3. How active are you? Are you involved in any sports, recreational activities, or exercise? If the answer is 'not active at all', and you are truly a couch potato, then ask; is there anything that even slightly appeals to you? Perhaps dancing, hiking in trails, riding a bike, ice skating, or sports could possibly get you away from sitting on the couch and prevent the consumption of comfort food! There has to be something!

4. Is the word 'diet' out of the question? Do you need an alternative for losing weight that doesn't involve dieting?

5. Do you have a great deal of stress? Stress can be harmful and contribute to an unhappy mental state.

All of the above questions require honest answers so that you can begin making those changes for a happier and healthier you.
